Pezzottaite with Tourmaline Sakavalana mine, Ambatovita, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar 2.54cm x 1.68cm x 1.36cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of this rare beryl species with tourmaline from Madagascar!!! This specimen hosts a complex showing of intergrown pezzotaite crystals in association with darkly colored crystals of tourmaline (likely liddicoatite)!!! The pezzotaite crystals have handsome pink color and range in clarity from translucent to gemmy!!! The crystals exhibit highly complex forms and are much better formed than the pics show!!! Upon close inspection in person one can see that the tourmaline crystals have some small multicolor areas as well!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
