Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of gem peridot from this ancient locality!!! This specimen likely dates back a century or more as this locality has not yeilded any significant specimens since at least that time!!! This historic locality actually dates to biblical times and the specimens from here are quite characteristic and unlike any other locality!!! This crystal consists of a lustrous, gemmy, tabular crystal that has a particularly lively green color!!! This crystal is actually a pair of conjoined crystals with some highly modified edges!!! Upon close examination, one can see that these edges actually have a velveteen luster!!! The pictures hardly do it justice!!! Rare old time material!!!
