Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example of "oakstone" barite from England!!! This specimen consists of a bullet-shaped form of oakstone barite!!! Oakstone consists of concentric bands of massive, microcrystalline barite that exhibits an aesthetic variety of colors and patterns reminiscent of woodgrain!!! This specimen exhibits a particularly complex and showy pattern throughout!!! There are also a few tiny vugs where tiny micro crystals of barite can be seen!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
