Naumannite

Trade Dollar Mine, Silver City District, Owyhee Co., Idaho

5.6cm x 3.6cm x 3.05cm

Ex. Robert E. Jenkins II Collection No. 1154

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare, old time example of naumannite from Idaho!!! This specimen hosts numerous tiny, subhedral crystals of naumannite in quartz!!! The naumannite is present both as darkly colored inclusions, tiny masses and grains, and submillimeter crystals!!! There what appears to be some slightly iridescent chalcopyrite in association as well!!! (The old label mentions electrum as well, however, I was not able to easily discern it or it was obscured by iridescence) This specimen is from the personal collecton of Bob Jenkins and retains his original personal collection label as well!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 2nd!!!
