Pala Queen Mine, Pala, Pala District, San Diego Co., California

3.55cm x 3.1cm x 2.4cm

Ex. Tony Nikischer Collection #1082

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of morganite from Pala!!! This specimen consists of a complex, single crystal of pink morganite beryl in association with hot pink crystals of rubellite tourmaline, purple lepidolite, and a small amount of pinkish montmorillionite in association!!! The morganite crystal has sharp faces with areas of matte and glassy luster!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer and retains its original personal collection label as well!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
