Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of meionite altering to sodalite from Afghanistan!!! This specimen consists of a large, complex floater crystal of meionite that shows a significant alteration to blue sodalite on its surface!!! The specimen is MUCH more blue than the pictures show it - it has a fine sky blue color in person!!! The crystal is sharp and complete all around!!! The surface actually shows marked luster, consisting of a complex network of tiny submillimeter faces that swirl about in a paisley-like pattern!!! These specimens were from a single unusual find years ago!!! This specimen is a killer in person - the pics don't come close to doing it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
