Marshite

Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, Rudnyi Altai, Altaiskii Krai, Western-Siberian Region, Russia

1.65cm x 1.5cm x 1.12cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic example of this very rare copper halide from Russia!!! This specimen is comprised of a complex network of marshite crystals prominently perched on a small amount of cerussite and limonitic matrix!!! This specimen is loaded with fine marshite crystals distributed throughout the entire specimen!!! The crystals are sharp and undamaged!!! The crystals have bright, glassy luster with translucent to gemmy clarity!!! This is a killer example of the species and WAY better than the pics show!!! (The crystals also fluoresce a rich red-orange under SW UV as well) Simply a magnificent example of this very rare species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 28th!!!
