Marshite Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, Rudnyi Altai, Altaiskii Krai, Western-Siberian Region, Russia 2.65cm x 2.45cm x 1.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this very rare copper halide from Russia!!! This specimen is largely comprised of a complex network of marshite crystals in association with a small amount of limonitic matrix!!! In person one can see that there is a complex network of crystalline marshite just underneath a dusting of ochre colored matrix!!! There are numerous fine crystals jutting out!!! The crystals have bright, glassy luster with gemmy clarity and a very pale yellowish clear hue!!! This is a killer example of the species and WAY better than the pics show!!! There are well formed crystals scattered about and there is a lot more to see upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope!!! Simply a magnificent example of this very rare species!!!
