Magnetite pseudomorph after Hematite on Pyrite Balmat, Balmat-Edwards Zinc District, St Lawrence Co., New York 3.26cm x 2.77cm x 1.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A very unusual example of magnetite on pyrite from Balmat!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of complex, brilliantly metallic pyrite crystals that host a trio of magnetite pseudomorphs after hematite crystals!!! The magnetite crystals are actually pseudomorphs after bladed hematite crystals!!! This specimen is complete and undamaged!!! The pics hardly capture just how fine it is!!! This is a very unusual and striking pseudomorph indeed!!! This unusual specimen was acquired from New England collector Jim Chenard!!!
