Description/Interesting Notes: A large and impressive, old time example of magnetite from Brazil!!! This specimen consists of a large single crystal of magnetite!!! The crystal exhibits a complexly modified octahedral form with sharply defined faces!!! The crystal has jet black color with a handsome reddish patina!!! This is OLD material and likely dates to the 19th century!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains an old label with Lawrence Seaman collection notation!!!
