Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely stunning example of kyanite and quartz from Brazil!!! This specimen was recently acquired in Munich and came from a very small pocket of choice, quartz associated specimens!!! This specimen consists of a small amount of calcite matrix that hosts a cluster of complex quartz points, punctuated by a large, v-shaped pair of crystals in dramatic association with intense and uniquely colored kyanite crystals!!! The quartz crystals are complete and terminated and have highly complex surfaces!!! The kyanite crystals are very sell formed, highly lustrous, and gemmy!!! There are microcrystals of red rutile in association as well!!! This is a stunningly aesthetic specimen in person - these pictures simply do not capture just how impressive and fine this specimen is!!! Rarely do you see such fine examples of kyanite with good quartz crystals - let alone kyanite included quartz points!!! Simply an extraordinary specimen!!!
