Krohnkite

Chuquicamata Mine, Chuquicamata District, Calama, El Loa Province, Antofagasta Region, Chile

6.8cm x 5.13cm x 4.2cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic, old time example of this rare species from Chile!!! This specimen consists of a rich showing of intensely colored veins of blue krohnkite!!! The specimen consists of a thick, chunky mass of bright blue krohnkite with an aesthetic network of veins meandering through the lightly colored matrix!!! The krohnkite has particularly bright and intense color and has dramatic clarity as well!!! The color is absolutely choice for the species!!! Upon close inspection, one can find numerous small crystalline forms present in several areas around the specimen as well as parallel crystalline features visible throughout the veins of massive krohnkite!!! Simply a fantastic example of this rare species!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
