Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of this rare species from the type locality!!! This specimen consists of an dense mass of crystalline krohnkite in association with some lightly colored matrix!!! This is a fantastic example of this rare and intensely colorful species!!! While the great majority of krohnkite specimens are simply massive, amorphous material, this specimen exhibits numerous sharply defined, lustrous crystal faces throughout the specimen!!! In addition, this specimen exhibits absolutely choice, intense bright blue color with marked clarity!!! The color is simply outrageous in person!!! The overall crystallization of the krohnkite, combined with its superb color makes for a very showy example of this rare species indeed!!! This is OLD material from this long sinced closed locality!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this gorgeous old timer justice!!!
