Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of gold tellurides from Colorado!!! This specimen hosts a very rich showing of sylvanite, calaverite, and krennerite on matrix!!! The material is well crystallized and brilliantly metallic!!! The crystals have a bright silver color with slightly golden hues in areas!!! Upon close inspection, there are even some tiny areas where the crystals have altered to native gold!!! Also, there are notable crystals of krennerite present as well (evidenced by orthorhombic features)!!! This specimen is much more impressive than the pics show!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Edwin Terres Collection with notes on the reverse that indicate it was from the collection of Ben Berthall and had been identified by Dr. Sam Gordon!!! In addition to the Terres label, this specimen retains an old label from Joe Cilen as well!!! Simply a fantastic, old time classic example of gold tellurides from this historic locality!!!
