Kotulskite with Chalcopyrite

Vermilion Mine, Denison Township, Sudbury District, Ontario, Canada

2.23cm x 1.67cm x .92cm

Ex. Tony Nikischer Collection

Description/Interesting Notes:

A very rare example of kotulskite from Canada!!! Kotulskite is a very rare palladium telluro-bismuthide and is present as brassy-silver metallic micro-grains disseminated throughout the matrix in association with golden chalcopyrite!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see some minute brassy-silver grains scattered about!!! This specimen retains an old label from Forrest Cureton and notes it was confirmed by Sid Williams!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
