Kolbeckite Schlarbaum quarry, Klause, Bad Gleichenberg, Styria, Austria 2.4cm x 2.2cm x 1.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare scandium bearing species from Austria!!! There are just a small handful of mineral species that contain scandium and they are all quite scarce!!! This specimen hosts two prominent spheroidal crystals of pale yellowish kolbeckite on matrix!!! The crystals measure up to 2mm!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see some tiny crystalline features on the spheroidal groups!!! There are numerous other brownish, spheroidal crystals of an unidentified species present as well!!! Simply a fantastic example of this very rare species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
