Kainosite-(Y) on Calcite with Chalcopyrite

Bicroft mine, Cardiff Township, Haliburton Co., Ontario, Canada

5cm x 3.86cm x 2.37cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

An absolutely magnificent example of this rare species!!! This specimen hosts a dense coverage of sharp, lustrous, gemmy, pink crystals of kainosite in association with chalcopyrite on a matrix of calcite!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this specimen justice!!! The crystals are WAY better and much more sharply defined and lustrous in person!!! Simply an extraordinary example of the species!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
