Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of inyoite altering to meyerhofferite from California!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of sharp, chunky inyoite crystals that have just barely begun altering to meyerhofferite!!! The crystals have sharp faces and marked clarity (much more than the pics show - the smaller crystals are actually gemmy!)!!! The main crystal shows several juxtaposed crystals of meyerhofferite that have formed just on the surface!!! We acquired this specimen from the collection of a prolific old time California collector - it was collected at least 20 or more years ago!!!
