Description/Interesting Notes:
A gorgeous, old time example of hessonite garnet with diopside from this classic Italian locale!!! This
specimen hosts a showy combination of gemmy orange-red crystals of hessonite garnet with lustrous bi-color crystals of
green and white diopside and green clinochlore!!! The hessonite garnet crystals have razor-sharp form with complex
modifications and brilliantly lustrous faces!!! The hessonite crystals have choice orange-red color, gemmy clarity, and
range in size up to 8mm!!! The diopside crystals have razor-sharp faces, glassy luster, and translucent to gemmy clarity!!! The
diopside crystals exhibit an unusual bicolor appearance consisting of areas of white and green!!! One of the
main diopside crystals also hosts a significant hessonite garnet crystal completely
included within it (this is a VERY cool feature in person)!!! The clinochlore crystals are quite well formed
and exhibit handsome green color with marked clarity!!! This specimen
retains an old affixed label as well!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition all around and displays
gorgeously in person!!! Classic material!!!
