Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of gem hessonite garnet from Canada!!! This specimen consists of a sharp single crystal of gem hessonite garnet!!! The crystal has sharp, glassy faces that exhibit striking, concentrically stepped features!!! The crystal grew on just a small piece of matrix and is well formed in all three dimensions - it is like an orange gem soccer ball!!! The crystal has gorgeous color and impressive gem clarity throughout!!! The specimen has stunning play of light within and is very showy in person!!! With the exception of some minor chattering, the specimen is complete and in fantastic condition!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
