Hemimorphite Granby Field, Tri-State District, Newton Co., Missouri 10.5cm x 7.4cm x 5.2cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of hemimorphite from this historic locale!!! This specimen consists of a showy cluster of chunky hemimorphite crystals on a characteristic chert matrix!!! The hemimorphite is quite thick and dense and consists of a showy network of glassy, gemmy, colorless crystals that show a particularly chunky habit!!! Specimens from this locale are quite scarce and highly sought after!!! This historic material dates to the 1800's!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
