Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely superb example of this rare species from Italy!!! This specimen consists of a razor-sharp octahedron of hauerite with a second, smaller, interpenetrant crystal in association!!! This crystal is complete all around and in magnificent condition!!! The faces have a curious velveteen sheen in person!!! In addition to its superb quality - this specimen is quite impressively sized for the species!!! This specimen was part of a group of specimens from the Erlengen-Nuremberg University collection and dates back at least over a century!!! This specimen retains copies of its original labels!!!
