This specimen consists of a matrix of dark greenish diopside crystals that host a single, pristine gem crystal of hessonite garnet!!! The crystal has a rich, intense reddish orange color with gem clarity and glassy, razor-sharp faces!!! The crystal is prominently perched on the matrix and is pristine and complete all around!!! The hessonite crystal is very bright and lively in person!!! The crystal exhibits sharp dodecahedral form with rare cubic modifications characteristic of the locality!!!
