Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example of native gold from South Dakota!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of native gold present on a matrix of quartz and schist!!! The gold is quite rich and significant for the locality!!! The gold is present partially included within the thin areas of schist associated with the quartz!!! Upon close inspection the darkly colored areas appear to possibly host some remnants of hornblende as well!!! Unusual and rich old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
