Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of native gold from this seldom referenced Nevada locality!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a group limonite pseudomorphs after pyrite in association with buttery yellow native gold!!! The native gold is present both on the limonite pseudomorphs as well as immediately near it as well!!! The largest mass of native gold exhibits some sharp crystalline features and brilliantly metallic luster!!! The native gold has a very rich, golden hue that is quite striking in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen is from the personal collection of Bob Jenkins and retains his original personal collection label as well!!!
