Native Gold with Chlorargyrite & Argentojarosite Tintic District, East Tintic Mts, Juab Co., Utah 6.85cm x 4.7cm x 2.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of native gold with chlorargyite and argentojarosite from Utah!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a few scattered crystals of native gold in addition to several complex crystals of chlorargryite and a significant showing of argentojarosite!!! Upon close inspection, the largest area of native gold exhibits some crystalline features and there are are scattered masses of native gold scattered about the matrix - particularly in the darker colored material!!! The chlorargyrite is quite well crystallized, although there are some small crusts and subhedral masses present as well!!! The chlorargyrite crystals range in size to nearly 3mm!!! There are significant masses and crystals of root-beer colored argentojarosite in association as well!!! This specimen retains an old unattributed label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
