Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example of native gold from Russia!!! This specimen consists of part of a water-worn quartz cobble that hosts a significant showing of native gold!!! The gold has rich yellow color and, upon close inspection some tiny crystalline features can be seen in some areas!!! The specimen has a few old catalogue numbers on it and retains a label from the Seaman Museum with Shelton collection notation!!! This specimen comes from the famed Russian collection of William Shelton that was donated to the Seaman Museum!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
