Native Gold with Quartz

Santa Elena de Uairen, Bolivar, Venezuela

1.62cm x .9cm x .72cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A magnificent example of native gold from Venezuela!!! This specimen consists of dense mass of subhedral, crystalline native gold with an aesthetic, gracefully twisting spire of native gold wire rising from it!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of solid native gold with a small partial quartz crystal in association!!! While wire forms are commonly seen in native silver specimens, they are extremely rare in native gold specimens!!! This specimen hosts a gracefully twisting wire of native gold that rises up from a larger mass of native gold - upon close examination one can see subhedral crystalline features all over the massive native gold as well!!! The specimen has bright metallic brilliance and a lively golden hue!!! Simply gorgeous in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
