Native Gold

Aosta Valley, Italy

7.7cm x 3.1cm x 2.73cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare and unusual old time example of native gold from Italy!!! This specimen hosts numerous highly complex crystals of brilliant native gold in association with calcite and andradite garnets on matrix!!! The native gold crystals are truly incredible upon close inspection with a loupe or scope!!! The crystals have razor-sharp, highly complex faces with mirror brilliant metallic luster!!! In addition to the exposed crystals of native gold, there are other crystals still included within the massive calcite and numerous submillimeter crystals scattered about the specimen!!! There are numerous tiny crystals of pale green andradite garnet lining the matrix beneath the gold crystals and calcite!!! This is OLD material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 31st!!!
