Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of native gold with quartz from this classic locality!!! This specimen hosts a wonderful showing of crystalline native gold on a quartz matrix in association with some tiny quartz points!!! The native gold has brilliant metallic luster and rich, buttery yellow color!!! The gold is present as sharp, elongated ribbon-like crystals that, at first resemble gold wires!!! Upon close examination it is immediately apparent that the gold is very well crystallized indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
