Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of native gold from this famous locality!!! This specimen consists of a schist and quartz matrix that hosts a grouping of brilliant, glittery plates of native gold present on and within the greenish colored schist!!! This specimen came from old material that came from the A.E. Seaman Museum - the material had not been catalogued but was noted as coming from the German mineralogist B. Klose!!! Old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
