Galena with Native Silver Freiberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany 5.7cm x 4.9cm x 2.65cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of native silver and galena from this classic German locality!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of intergrown crystals of galena that hosts scattered wires of native silver as well as complex surface coatings of native silver!!! The galena is much more crystalline than it appears in the pictures - some of the surfaces are complexly altered from the native silver as well!!! The crystals have sharply defined cubo-octahedral habits with lustrous, metallic faces!!! This is a very impressive time specimen in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
