Francevillite

Mounana Mine (Mouana Mine), Franceville, Haut-Ogooué Province, Gabon

6.65cm x 2.95cm x 2.65cm

Ex. Ron Januzzi Collection

Description/Interesting Notes:

A superb example of this very rare and highy sought after uranium bearing species from Gabon!!! This gorgeous old timer hosts a stunning display of pristine, sharply crystallized orange-red francevillite crystals on a smartly contrasting, darkly colored matrix!!! There is a small amount of an unknown, whitish colored microcrystalline mineral that caps just a few of the balls of francevillite crystals!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition all around and displays fantastically!!! This rare and valuable specimen is from the collection of Ron Januzzi and retains a Ted Johnson label with Januzzi notation!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this incredible specimen justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 14th!!!
