Fluorite

Revenue group, Cox Canyon, I.X.L. District, Churchill Co., Nevada

7.67cm x 4.73cm x 2.83cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A terrific example of fluorite from this seldom referenced Nevada locality!!! This specimen consists of a group of complexly etched cubic fluorite crystals in minor association with barite!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition all around - the crystals have complexly etched and modified surfaces that give them an almost velveteen appearance!!! The crystals have a slightly greenish gray color with some dark phantoms and zonation within as well!!! There are some small, blocky barite crystals present on the underside as well - scattered amongst complex fluorite crystals that almost appear similar!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pics show!!! A terrific example of fluorite from this obscure locality!!! This specimen retains a label from Bob Jenkins as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
