Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare locality example of epistilbite and laumontite from Hawaii!!! This specimen hosts numerous vugs that host crystals of epistilbite and laumontite!!! The epistilbite crystals are present as sharp single crystals as well as slightly divergent sprays of crystals!!! The epistilbite crystals have sharp, glassy faces and marked translucence!!! The laumontite crystals are present as whitish sprays of radiating crystals!!! In addition to the epistilbite and laumontite, there are areas of microcrystalline quartz as well as some other unidentified microcrystals!!! This large, vuggy specimen is loaded with crystal-bearing cavities!!! This specimen is from the University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
