Description/Interesting Notes: A large and impressive example of epidote from this classic locale!!! This specimen consists of a large, thick crystal of deep green epidote in association with a few small quartz crystals!!! The large crystal has glassy luster and highly complex faces all around!!! One can see a sharply defined twin plane when viewed down the c-axis as well!!! It is difficult to appreciate just how fine and showy this specimen is from the pictures!!! In person the highly complex features and details show brilliant glassy luster and deep green color!!! The broad face of the crystal is loaded with brilliant internal flashes of golden-green!!! This specimen retains an old unattributed affixed catalogue number on the bottom as well!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
