Empressite with Jarosite and Unknowns

Joe Shaft, Tombstone District, Tombstone Hills, Cochise Co., Arizona

1.86cm x 1.42cm x .5cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A fantastic old time example of empressite from Tombstone!!! This specimen hosts areas of green empressite in association with at least three other unidentified species!!! There are vuggy areas of brownish jarosite crystals in association with submillimeter green crystals!!! There are bright yellow-green platy crystals nearly covering one side (possibly molybdofornicite), there are also some submillimeter whitish balls present among the jarosite, etc. crystals and there are also some unidentified areas of reddish mineralization as well!!! Upon close inspection with a scope or loupe there is a LOT going on with this specimen!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 6th!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
