***Bringing you the very finest minerals ebay has to offer!!***

Beryl var. Emerald

Boyaca Department, Colombia

1.08cm x .95cm x .89cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A unique example of emerald from Colombia!!! This specimen consists of a doubly terminated, floater crystal that exhibits a curious cone-like habit!!! The crystal exhibits characteristic hexagonal form but shows pronounced conical form along the c-axis which is quite unusual indeed!!! This curious habit is quite rare indeed!!! The larger termination has a broad, glassy termination while the smaller termination has a highly complex texture with irregular, oriented crystal faces!!! This specimen has lively green color (a classic emerald green in person, the pics show up slightly bluish for some reason but the color is great in person) with marked translucence!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 21st!!!
