Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of emerald from this historic, ancient locality!!! This specimen consists of a complexly crystalline example of emerald beryl that has lively green color and marked translucence!!! This locality was one of the ancient world's only sources of emeralds and produced gems going back as far as 2000 B.C.!!! This specimen retains an old, unattributed label as well!!!
