Beryl var. Emerald

Habach valley, Hohe Tauern, Salzburg, Austria

5.3cm x 2.7cm x 3cm

Ex. R. & N. Pellman

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of gem emerald from this historic locale!!! This specimen consists of a characteristic schist matrix that hosts a sharp, glassy, emerald crystal that measures over 1.6cm!!! The emerald crystal has gorgeous, intense green color and marked gemminess!!! Although the crystal is not terminated it is prominently exposed and is very showy in person!!! The quality of the emerald crystal is quite fine indeed!!! This specimen is completely natural and unrepaired!!! Simply a killer old time Austrian emerald!!! This specimen retains an old museum label that notes it was a gift of R. & N. Pellman as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY FEBRUARY 28th!!!
