Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely SUPERB example of gem emerald from this famous North Carolina locality!!! This specimen consists of a single, gem crystal of emerald!!! The crystal is razor-sharp and has glassy luster!!! This specimen exhibits ABSOLUTELY CHOICE COLOR!!! The color rivals the finest Colombian emeralds, or even exceeds it!!! The top portion of the crystal, the most intense green portion, is GEM clear!!! The crystal exhibits the characteristic color zoning seen in emeralds from Hiddenite - with an outer "rind" and "cap" having the most pronounced color!!! Although it would be a tragedy to cut such a fine specimen, it could likely yield a very significant stone!!! Simply put, this is a KILLER Hiddenite emerald!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
