Elbaite Tourmaline with Quartz

San Piero in Campo, Campo nell'Elba, Elba Island, Livorno Province, Tuscany, Italy

5.3cm x 3.1cm x 3cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of elbaite tourmaline from the type locale - Elba Island in Italy!!! These classic Elba Island elabaite tourmaline crystals are quite scarce and highly sought after by collectors!!! This specimen hosts a complex single crystal perched among quartz crystals and orthoclase!!! The elbaite tourmaline crystal has a complex "spikey" termination and exhibits a thick band of gemmy olive green in the middle!!! The crystal is glassy and complete!!! The surrounding quartz and orthoclase crystals are well formed and much better than the pics show as well!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 11th!!!
