Reverse Duftite Cast Tsumeb, Namibia 5.2cm x 3.13cm x 1.83cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An incredibly unique example of duftite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of a rare REVERSE cast of duftite crystals!!! The duftite crystals had once coated a complex cluster of calcite crystals - that specimen was subsequently coated by an unknown white mineral (presumably microcrystalline dolomite) and the original calcite cluster went back into solution!!! This specimen is really quite aesthetic in person!!! The duftite crystals have wonderful color and are quite well crystallized - the broad faces of the cast show marked luster and in the areas where one can see the sides of individual duftite crystals they are rather significant!!!
