Dioptase

Magma Mine (No. 1 Shaft), Superior, Pinal Co., Arizona

8.5cm x 6.25cm x 4.5cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A magnificent example of dioptase from Arizona!!! This specimen consists of a dense, colorful matrix that hosts a striking showing of emerald green dioptase crystals!!! This specimen hosts glassy, gem clear, razor sharp crystals of emerald green dioptase on a colorful matrix!!! The matrix consists of a dense, lapidary-grade mass of massive cuprite, turquoise colored chrysocolla, malachite, and other colorful copper bearing species!!! Several areas on this specimen appear to exhibit a showy, colorful "slickenside" formation that is quite striking in person!!! This specimen is simply gorgeous in person!!! The dioptase is in magnificent condition and is way better than the pictures show - with razor-sharp, gem-clear, intense emerald green crystals of impressive size for the locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
