Dioptase & Wulfenite with Willemite

Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine, Tiger, Mammoth District, Pinal Co., Arizona

12.6cm x 8.9cm x 4.5cm

Ex. Ward's

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic example of dioptase and wulfenite from Tiger!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of bright green dioptase crystals intergrown with orange blades of wulfenite and light blue crystals of willemite!!! The dioptase crystals consist of tiny green prisms with gemmy clarity and intense emerald green color!!! Upon close inspection one can see that the willemite crystals have well defined hexagonal prismatic form!!! There are areas that host numerous tiny colorless cubic fluorite crystals as well!!! There is also an area that hosts numerous tiny, rounded, bright orange crystals of mimetite that seem to exhibit an almost campylite-like habit upon close examination!!! This specimen retains an old Ward's label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
