Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of chromian diopside from Colorado!!! This specimen consists of an impressive single crystal of intensely colored, deep greem chromium diopside prominently set in a kimberlite matrix!!! The chromian diopside is lustrous, gemmy, and has intense green color!!! Upon close inspection one can see that there are several other species present in the kimberlite matrix as well!!!
