Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of diaspore from this classic New England locality!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of purple diaspore crystals on a matrix of clinochlore and magnetite!!! What is most striking is that these crystals are TERMINATED!!! Terminated crystals of diaspore are VERY rare from this old time locality and this is a fantastic example indeed!!! The crystals exhibit sharply defined, lustrous terminations in prominent display across the matrix!!! The crystals are much more complete than it appears in the pictures as well!!! Upon close inspection this specimen is simply amazing!!! This old time beauty is in fantastic condition and displays gorgeously!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
