Diamond

Kimberley, Northern Cape Province, South Africa

.46cm x .44cm x .41cm

.4cm x .38cm x .37cm

2 specimens!

Description/Interesting Notes:

A terrific pair of old time diamond crystals from South Africa!!! This is a pair of a sharp, pristine, octahedral diamond crystals!!! The crystals exhibit classic octahedral form with sharp faces, bright luster, and gemmy clarity!!! The larger crystal has a slightly darker color and a curious, satiny luster!!! In person however, one can see that this crystal is very gemmy within!!! The larger crystal has what appears to be a second, smaller crystal growing on one of its faces!!! The smaller crystal has bright, glassy luster and is quite fiery within!!! The crystals have some stepped faces and other complex features as well!!! Simply terrific examples of this famed species!!! These are the last two crystals from an old lot of diamond crystals that came out of the Seaman Museum!!! Classic old time Kimberley material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
