Diamond

Orange Free State, South Africa

.42cm x .4cm x .36cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A gorgeous old time example of this famed gem species from South Africa!!! This specimen came out of an old collection and was simply labelled as "Orange Free State, South Africa"!!! This gorgeous specimen consists of a complex, slightly rounded octahedral crystal that is highly lustrous and has lively gem clarity and a fine champagne color!!! The crystal does actually have numerous subtle, slightly curved faces that are much more easily discernable - and fascinating, in person!!! There is a small area on one corner that at first appears to be a ding, but upon close inspection one can see that it is actually healed and has numerous tiny crystal faces within!!! This specimen is simply fantastic in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 17th!!!
