Devilline (Herrengrundite)

Spania Dolina (Herrengrund), Banska Bystrica Co., Banska Bystrica Region, Slovakia

6cm x 4cm x 2.3cm

Ex. Hugh A. Ford

Ex. Carlton Davis Collection

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of devilline from Slovakia!!! This specimen hosts a striking showing of intensely colored greenish blue devilline on matrix!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of complexly intergrown groups of bladed crystals on one side and several scattered balls of bladed crystals on the opposite side!!! This is classic, old time material that likely dates to the mid 1800's!!! This specimen retains an old Hugh A. Ford label as well as an old affixed Dana label from the Carlton Davis collection!!! Simply gorgeous in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 23rd!!!
